Another Great Video From Dr. Mike Evans.

Often in life we are looking for ways to make things easier for ourselves. Technology, for example, has helped us in many ways to make our lives easier. And though it does life easier, we are now moving less, and barely connecting with each other. So in that regard, I want to share another of Dr. Mike Evans’s videos called, “Let’s Make our Day Harder.”

In his video he gives many simple ways that we can “Tweak the Week” to make movement a part of our everyday routine. Small changes will give us more energy, help us to be healthier, and to hopefully live longer. Start small, and then slowly increase your movement.

In my case, I have a love/hate relationship with my Fitbit. I love the commitment that I have made with the fitbit to make sure that I get my 10,000 steps everyday. I would love to be able to increase that number. However, when I get home at the end of the day, only having around 5,000 steps, it is hard to be able to balance spending time with my husband, my other work, some form of relaxation, and making sure that I get those steps. Thus I have not been able to increase my steps past 10,000 since I got my Fitbit last summer. From this video I can see some of the little changes that I can make to help me get more steps during the day.

I really enjoy Dr. Evans line where he says, “Mix some low technology into your high technology day.”  It has become so easy to text, email, or Facebook with friends and family. Instead, we should try to meet up with these people, and go for a walk, a hike, or a bike ride around the neighborhood. Help your friends and family to also “Tweak the Week”. So please get out there and make your day harder!

And please take time to share with me in the comments below how you are going to tweak your week. Also, don’t forget to give Dr. Evans video a thumbs up, and share it with others who you think would benefit. Thanks, and have a great weekend!
