Person to person and cause and effect relationships can be similar.

Life is amazing, life is hard, life is crazy, and all of our lives are interconnected. The connections we have might not just be person to person, but also cause and effect. The cause and effect connection sometimes will come around showing us who we have affected, or how we have been changed, and other times it does neither. The person to person connections usually show us more about how we have changed/grown as well as how we’ve helped others.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I am honored to hold space with my patients, to be a part of their lives, as well as their family’s lives, and to have these person to person connections. I grow daily because of what my patients teach me about life, what they challenge me to learn about medicine and natural health, and because of their openness and honesty. With these person to person connections I am also in a cause and effect relationship with them. For example, my patients will tell me their neighbor is now trying/doing what they are doing, or that they have told all of their friends about wet socks and the garlic oxymel drink. In any event, I am just one person trying to make a difference in the world around me. There are many who also try to as well, and I want to thank them, in general, for their effort.

I recently ran across a YouTube video, posted by TrueMoveH in this case, that highlighted the cause and effect connection of life. It reminds me to be me on a daily basis, to help others, and to be open to all that life has in store. Be present in your daily life, and show kindness and respect; we’ll all be better for it. Please take the time to watch the video and see how more than one life can be affected by cause and effect connections.
