The EWG’s Dirty Dozen list is a great help for holiday food shopping.

As we are right in the middle of the holiday season, and are starting a new year soon, I just want to take a moment to remind you all of the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG) Dirty Dozen & Clean Fifteen list. I know most of us start the new year off with the goal of losing weight, but maybe instead of just focusing on the weight we can also focus on the amount of chemicals going into our body. By choosing organic foods we are helping to limit the amount of chemicals and/or pesticides we’re exposed to.

For me, this list is my goto reminder of what foods should be bought organic as well as what foods are ok to do as conventional. It would be great if we could always buy organic, but I know that is not necessarily an option for everyone in every situation. However, we can do our best to remember this list as we shop this season for fresh fruits and veggies.
