How I’ll try to maintain my new year goals…
With the first of the new year we often take time to reflect on the past year, but we also plan out goals and dreams for the coming year. This is a wonderful practice, but unfortunately by mid-February most of our resolutions have fallen to the wayside. The practice of reflecting on the past and the future would actually be wise to do on the first of every month. This way if we have dropped a new goal we can either recommit or reevaluate.
I wanted to spend a few moments sharing with you some of my goals for 2019 (in no particular order):
Take supplements daily.
Move my body for at least 30 minutes per day and try for 10K steps.
Go to bed at a reasonable time. Meaning turn streaming video off before it just goes into the next episode.
Read one to two books a week. Both books for fun and for knowledge.
Spend quality time with my family in both big adventures and small playtime adventures.
I would encourage you to take time to write your resolutions down on paper or a small whiteboard so that you can easily see them and reevaluate each month. I suggest doing this when making your monthly budget, or the like. Push yourself a bit this year and make 2019 an amazing year for you and your family.
I wish you all the best in 2019!
